Voter Contact
News was published by VCS from 1985 through 1989. A total of
ten issues were published. The articles were mostly written by customers
and associates of VCS. This was a time when computerized voter files
were
still fairly new and people were just starting to use them. VCS was 14
years old in 1986 and had a voter file of about 40 million voters
that
already stretched from Coast to Coast. The Voter Contact News articles
described various ways that voter files were being used in campaign
situations at that time. Looking back, some are now obsolete, some
are
now "old hat". Others are as fresh and applicable as when
they were written.
